Scoot Airlines' New Aircraft: Embraer E190-E2
In 2024, Scoot Airlines officially introduced their new aircraft, the Embraer E190-E2.
This aircraft is equipped with fuel-efficient engines and a 2x2 seat configuration, providing greater comfort for passengers. It also features quieter engines and larger windows, enhancing the overall flight experience.
The Embraer E190-E2 is ideal for short- to medium-haul routes, giving Scoot more flexibility to serve diverse destinations with higher efficiency. With the addition of this aircraft to its fleet, Scoot has expanded its flight network, including new routes from Singapore to several cities in Indonesia, such as Balikpapan, Makassar, Pekanbaru, and Kertajati Airport, along with return flights.
New Scoot Airlines Route: Singapore–Padang
At the start of 2025, the Embraer E190-E2 began servicing a new route between Singapore and Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia.
This route operates every Monday, Friday, and Saturday, with ticket prices starting from IDR 800,000 for the Singapore–Padang leg and IDR 400,000 for the Padang–Singapore route.
The inaugural flight for this route took place on January 6, 2025.
