Air Travel Rules in Turkey: Passengers Who Stand Up Too Early Will Be Fined!
For those of you planning to fly to Turkey soon, there’s an important update you need to know: the Turkish government has now implemented strict rules for passengers who stand up too early before the plane has come to a complete stop on the runway. Want to know how much the fine is? Read the full information below! Understanding the Term “Aisle Lice” in the Aviation World Passengers who stand up too early on a plane, even before it has come to a complete stop on the runway, have a special nickname—“Aisle Lice.” This term comes from the word “aisle,” referring to the walkway inside the plane, and “lice,” meaning parasites. The term “Aisle Lice” is used to describe the behavior of passengers who frequently stand, walk, or linger in the aisle during the flight. More specifically, it often refers to impatient passengers who stand up before the appropriate time, especially when the plane has not yet landed or has not completely stopped at the gate. This kind of behavior can block the way for other passengers and make the cabin atmosphere less comfortable. Additionally, it disrupts the flight attendants as they carry out their duties, such as serving food or delivering safety instructions. Due to these impacts, several countries, including Turkey, have started enforcing strict regulations that prohibit passengers from standing up too early to ensure safety and comfort during the flight. Sanctions for Passengers Who Violate the Rule The Turkish Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has officially implemented a new rule prohibiting airplane passengers from standing or unfastening their seatbelts before the aircraft has completely stopped on the runway. This policy was introduced to enhance safety and order during the landing process and passenger disembarkation. Passengers who violate this rule will be subject to an administrative fine of up to 2,603 Turkish lira (around Rp1,100,000 or $67). This policy also aims to reduce the risk of accidents caused by passengers who rush to stand and move inside the cabin when it is not yet safe to do so. The regulation has received mixed reactions from the public and the aviation industry, with some supporting the move in the name of safety, while others consider it to be overly strict. The Background Behind the Rule The regulation banning passengers from standing too early on planes was introduced as a preventive measure in response to growing safety concerns during the landing and disembarkation process. According to a letter published by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in Turkey, at the beginning of 2025, the country recorded a significant increase in complaints about passengers ignoring crew instructions by standing up and leaving their seats while the seatbelt sign was still on. Furthermore, passengers were often seen standing in the aisles and opening the overhead luggage compartments before the plane had come to a full stop on the runway. Such behavior not only disrupts the flight crew’s service operations but also increases the risk of accidents and injuries during landing. As a result, strict rules and fines have been implemented to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers and to maintain an orderly and secure flight environment.

Airport Regulations for Flights to Dubai Have Changed – Here’s What You Need to Know
Previously, passengers were allowed to bring essential items such as medications in their cabin baggage. However, under the latest regulations, certain medications are now prohibited on flights to Dubai. It is crucial for travelers to be aware of these regulatory changes to ensure they only carry items that are permitted under the updated guidelines. Many passengers board flights without fully understanding which items are banned, which can lead to unnecessary issues for both themselves and airport security staff. Items prohibited on flights to Dubai include narcotics (such as cocaine, heroin, and cannabis), as well as betel leaves, sharp weapons, gambling tools, and goods originating from boycotted countries. Furthermore, printed documents, works of art, certain types of food (including non-vegetarian dishes), and counterfeit currency are also strictly forbidden. In addition, certain items require prior authorization and payment before being brought into Dubai. These items include plants, fertilizers, books, specific medications, medical equipment, cosmetics, electronic devices, alcoholic beverages, personal care products, e-cigarettes, and electronic hookahs (shisha). Specific medications are also banned on flights to Dubai. These include Betametadol, Alpha-methylfentanyl, Codoxime, Fentanyl, Methadone, Opium, Oxycodone, Codeine, Amphetamine, and other substances listed in the airport authority’s guidelines. It is extremely important for travelers planning to visit Dubai to thoroughly understand these regulations to avoid inconvenience or legal issues during their trip. Always check for the latest updates from airport authorities or consult with your airline for specific details before preparing for your journey to Dubai.

Bukchon Hanok Village in Korea Crowded with Tourists Due to Over Tourism
Since the beginning of 2024, many countries around the world have started facing the problem of over tourism. Some of the countries affected by over tourism are trying to tackle it by attempting to minimize the arrival of tourists to their countries, one of which is South Korea. With its booming K-pop culture and popular dramas, Korea has certainly become one of the favorite destinations for international tourists. The continuously increasing number of tourist arrivals has made Korea begin to struggle in handling the situation. Local Government Takes Action The local government in one of Seoul’s historical tourist spots, namely Bukchon Hanok Village, will take stricter measures to protect the Bukchon Hanok Village area from crowds of tourists flooding the streets and causing conflicts with local residents. Bukchon Hanok Village itself is one of Korea’s favorite tourist destinations. Its main attraction lies in the beautiful and well-preserved traditional Korean houses known as “hanok.” As with the impact of over tourism in other countries, here too the number of tourists has far exceeded the number of local residents. This has led to increasing complaints about noise, littering, and privacy issues around the area. In an effort to ease tensions between tourists and local residents, as well as to control the crowds, the local government will start limiting tourist access to Bukchon Hanok Village beginning in early October 2024. There will be fines imposed on those who violate the rules. In addition, a strict curfew for tourists will be enforced every day between 5:00 PM and 10:00 AM. Chartered buses carrying tourists will also be restricted in several locations. The goal is to reduce traffic congestion that often occurs. Furthermore, the area around Bukchon Hanok Village will be divided into three zones: red, orange, and yellow. This zoning aims to enable the local government to control and monitor crowds in the most densely populated areas. On the other hand, according to data from the Seoul government, a total of 6.6 million tourists, both local and international, visited Bukchon Hanok Village in 2023.

China Launches ASEAN Visa for 10 Countries, Including Indonesia!
Great news for travelers heading to China! The Bamboo Curtain country has taken another major step in regional relations by launching a new visa policy specifically for ASEAN countries. Starting in 2025, citizens from 10 Southeast Asian countries—including Indonesia—can enjoy easier access to China through the newly introduced ASEAN Visa program. Check out all the details below! About the ASEAN Visa Launched by China The Chinese government officially launched the ASEAN Visa policy aimed at citizens of the 10 ASEAN member countries, including Indonesia. The announcement was made by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian during a press conference in early June 2025. Through this program, ASEAN citizens can apply for a multiple-entry visa valid for up to 5 years, with a maximum stay of 180 days per visit. Initially, the visa is focused on business purposes but also extends to family members of the visa holder, including spouses and children. This policy aligns with China’s effort to strengthen cross-border relations through mutual visa waiver agreements, previously implemented with countries such as Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. The ASEAN Visa also continues previous initiatives such as the Lancang-Mekong Visa, launched in November 2024, which provided similar convenience for business travelers from countries along the Mekong River. The ASEAN Visa officially came into effect on June 9, 2025, and is expected to enhance economic cooperation, facilitate people-to-people mobility, and deepen bilateral ties between China and Southeast Asian countries. Countries Included in the ASEAN Visa Scheme The ASEAN Visa scheme launched by China includes all ten member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), namely: Indonesia Malaysia Singapore Thailand The Philippines Vietnam Laos Cambodia Myanmar Brunei Darussalam In addition, Timor-Leste, although not yet a full ASEAN member, has also been included in the program as part of China’s effort to strengthen regional relations. With this broad inclusion, the new visa policy is expected to boost cross-border connectivity and cooperation in areas such as business, tourism, and cultural exchange between Southeast Asia and China. Terms and Conditions for Obtaining the ASEAN Visa To obtain China’s ASEAN Visa, applicants must meet several conditions. Initially focused on business travel, applicants are required to provide supporting documents such as: An invitation letter from a business partner in China Proof of cooperation or transaction A valid passport Additionally, visa holders can apply for similar visas for immediate family members such as spouses and children, by providing proof of relationship (e.g., marriage or birth certificates). Although the process is more streamlined than regular visa applications, applicants must still undergo identity and security verification by Chinese immigration authorities. Visa applications can be submitted online via the official Chinese Visa Application Center, or in person at Chinese embassies or consulates in their respective countries. China’s Internet Hits 10G: How Fast Is It and What Are the Benefits?
China has once again made a breakthrough in technology by successfully launching a 10G internet network. This achievement not only reflects the rapid advancement of the country’s digital infrastructure but also opens vast opportunities across various sectors, from industry to everyday life. So, how fast is this 10G internet, and what benefits can users expect? Read on for a detailed explanation. What You Need to Know About 10G Internet in China China officially launched the world’s first 10G internet network, marking a milestone in global digital infrastructure. This initiative is a collaboration between Huawei and China Unicom, implementing 50G Passive Optical Network (PON) technology in Sunan County, Hebei Province. The 10G network offers download speeds up to 9,834 Mbps and upload speeds of 1,008 Mbps, with latency as low as 3 milliseconds. At this speed, downloading a 20GB movie takes less than 20 seconds. The initial rollout is in Xiong’an, a smart city designed to be a hub of technological innovation. Though currently limited to select areas, authorities have indicated plans for nationwide expansion as infrastructure readiness and consumer demand grow. Advantages of 10G Internet in China From extraordinary data access speeds and real-time connection stability to support for various digital services, 10G internet forms a vital foundation for a more connected and efficient future. Super-Fast Download and Upload Speeds The 10G network delivers nearly 10,000 Mbps download and over 1,000 Mbps upload speeds. This enables heavy tasks like downloading tens of gigabytes of data, streaming 8K videos, or uploading large files to the cloud in seconds. For both individuals and businesses, this means faster work completion, uninterrupted entertainment, and much more efficient online collaboration. Extremely Low Latency for Real-Time Applications Beyond faster download and upload speeds compared to conventional networks, 10G also offers very low latency. Latency is the time data takes to travel between points; the lower it is, the faster devices can respond to each other. This is crucial for real-time applications such as video calls, online gaming, and autonomous vehicles. Enhancing Telemedicine and Remote Education Services With 10G, telemedicine can transmit high-resolution medical data or perform remote robotic surgeries with almost no delay. Similarly, remote education benefits from interactive video learning, virtual reality, or live simulations without disruptions. This greatly expands access to quality healthcare and education, even in remote areas. With this launch, China has surpassed other countries in adopting commercial 10G broadband networks. While many nations are still developing 5G, China has taken a significant leap forward in internet connectivity.

Disneyland Paris Sets World Record with Largest Drone Show
Recently, Disneyland Paris successfully set a new world record with its spectacular drone show held on Monday, July 15, 2024. Disney theme parks have long been renowned for their unique entertainment, particularly their dazzling nighttime shows featuring impressive visuals and special effects. Now, Disneyland Paris has taken this tradition to a whole new level. Spectacular Drone Show Lights Up Disneyland Paris On that Monday, Disneyland Paris staged a breathtaking drone performance featuring the head of Mickey Mouse created by 1,571 drones, officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest airborne fictional character display. The drone show was held to celebrate France’s national holiday, Bastille Day, on July 14. The 1,571 drones were flown to form Mickey Mouse’s head directly above Sleeping Beauty Castle, illuminating the night sky over Paris. In addition, the 12-minute evening show showcased Disney films inspired by France. It highlighted French culture, featuring iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral, along with scenes from Disney and Pixar movies like “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “The Aristocats,” and “Ratatouille.” On Bastille Day, Disneyland Paris also presented its newly launched Disney Electrical Sky Parade, introduced earlier in 2024. This parade featured over 500 drones synchronized with lasers, video projections, lights, and fountains, set against the backdrop of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The parade included illuminated floats representing beloved icons from the classic Main Street Electrical Parade, such as Mickey Mouse’s train, Elliott the dragon from “Pete’s Dragon,” and Cinderella’s carriage—all brought to life in the Parisian night sky. Looking ahead, Disneyland Paris plans to be even more innovative with drone technology. They envision creating new advancements, such as fleets of drones capable of producing increasingly complex and dynamic shows, further elevating the quality of storytelling in the future.
