Juanda International Airport in Surabaya has officially opened a new flight route connecting Surabaya and Fuzhou, China. The route is operated by Xiamen Airlines and is scheduled three times a week using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Flight Schedule and Details

Flights from Juanda Airport (SUB) to Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC) are scheduled to depart at 15:00 WIB and take approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes nonstop. With a frequency of three times per week, this service is expected to strengthen air connectivity between Indonesia and eastern China, particularly for the trade sector and travel between major port cities.
Hopes and Economic Impact

The General Manager of Juanda Airport, Muhammad Tohir, stated that the opening of this route reflects international airlines’ confidence in East Java’s strong potential. In addition to strengthening the flight network, this route is expected to boost tourism, trade, and economic cooperation between Surabaya and cities in China.
Strategic Move by Xiamen Airlines

As a Chinese airline that continues expanding its connectivity across Asia, Xiamen Airlines positions Surabaya as an important destination in Indonesia. Previously, the airline operated routes to Jakarta and Denpasar, and it is now extending its network to Surabaya, the economic hub of eastern Indonesia.
